I liked that Willie greeted me on the sidewalk & escorted me to meet Miss Denise. Miss Denise, a regal, statuesqe and gracious southern lady who is the General Manager of The Guest House. She gave the impression of being very happy to have me as a guest so I immediately felt a warm welcome. As it was after dinner hours, I was grateful the restaurant was open. Chef Hakam was expecting me! Willie had alerted him that I mentioned being hungry for a burger. Hakam had it pattied up and expertly served it with a side of fries. So beautiful that I took a picture! I meet Brennan on my last morning. I had contemplated church but slept in since it was my last morning. I was feeling a bit sheepish for backing out of church and then I ran into Brennan. That young man exudes kindness and a wonderful sense of peace. He helped me with all my bags and packages and by the time we made it to my vehicle, I felt as though I made a new friend! There is a wonderful girl, Karlee, who I luckily met as I checking out. What an absolute delight! Her exuberance is contagious and I throughly enjoyed her. She made me feel as if she was happy I had a great time.

The hotel is just as described. It is lovely and the furnishings seemed like a fair tribute to times past. Though it was very cold the room was cozy and comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful. The location was excellent as there are so many things one can do by foot. We were there in the winter so we could not enjoy the patio but one can only imagine how pleasant it would be in the spring. The breakfast was nice as it offered many items which were made fresh (scrambled eggs and pancakes, for example) and offered some typically Southern items (grits, sausage). If we return we could want to stay here again. The restaurant was also quite nice with a menu that had a Mediterranean flair.

Upon arrival the staff was very polite and helpful. They answered all of our questions and provided additional information on the city sites, restaurants and weekend events. The restaurant was very convenient, cozy, clean and the staff was amazing. I met the Chef and our server Dana went above and beyond to make our weekend special. The room was very comfortable, quiet and clean. The location was very convenient, we were able to walk about town comfortably. We have already started planning our next visit.

The Guest House is a beautiful and historic inn dating back to 1840 in downtown Natchez conveniently located to many attractions. Very walkable to restaurants, the Mississippi River and many of the historic mansions. While our room was very close to the main entrance by the restaurant, it was quiet. Beds were comfortable and our stay included a free hot breakfast in the restaurant and a complimentary bottle of wine upon our arrival. Our stay at The Guest House was a great experience at a great price .

Check in was great and we just made it in time for dinner- last orders were 8pm. The restaurant was a bit disorganised but in a fun way. My Bloody Mary was half and half I reckon which was a cool start to the evening. Some of the items on the menu were unavailable but I had the Shrimps and rice which were excellent. My partner had falafels which were nicely cooked. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. The room was a bit chill but there was an electric heater in the cupboard.
